The Chairman Board of internal Revenue Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata has urged members of OSU Governorship Movement to stand firmly behind the governor His Excellency RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori at all times,  assuring them of the governor's willingness to reach out to them very soon.

Hon. Ighrakpata gave this assurance when members of OSU Governorship Movement Paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Warri today 27th February, 2024. 


While commending members of the group for their steadfastness throughout the period of the struggle, he charged OSU agitators to stand firmly behind the governor His Excellency, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.


The BIR chairman who is one of the most accessible politician in OSU federal constituency  showered praises on OSU agitators for  their immeasurable contributions to the emergence of His Excellency RT.  Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as governor of Delta state. 


He expressed support for the group, noting that their effort will not be in vain. According to him, "I will discuss your issue with the governor and I am optimistic that the governor will respond positively to your request".


Earlier, the National Coordinator of the group Ambassador Ese Sanco disclosed to the BIR chairman that OSU agitators made a lot of sacrifices in the struggle between 2019 and 2023 when so many politicians  within and outside OSU federal constituency were sitting on the fence watching where the pendulum will swing.  According to him,

"We chose our part clearly  without minding whether the struggle will fail or not. We had only one option which is the OSU mandate.  We were ready to sink and swim with the OSU agenda. 


It is pertinent to note that  OSU group has a better role to play in 2027 to ensure that our people are not divided. As the mouth piece of OSU federal constituency,  it is important to strengthen the group to prevent retrogresive elements from dividing us.


Having gone this far to stand for what we believe in for the sake of equity in Delta Central, it is equally important that we are appreciated. This will motivate others to embark on agitations that will attract development to our federal constituency in future".

He commended Hon. Ighrakpata for the warm reception given to the group and assured him of the unwavering support of the OGM for the governor till 2031.
