BE PATIENT WITH THE GOVERNOR, ORODJE OF OKPE TELLS OSU POLITICIANS AND STAKEHOLDERS

His Royal Majesty, Orhue 1, The Orodje of Okpe kingdom has admonished politicians and stakeholders of OSU federal constituency to be patient with the governor His Excellency, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in addressing the issues of marginalisation being raised by stakeholders of OSU federal constituency. 

The monarch gave this advise when members of OSU Governorship Movement paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Orerokpe on Thursday 15th June 2023. He stated that the governor is not unaware of the sacrifices made by members of OSU Governorship Movement between 2019 and May 29th 2023 when the governor was sworn into office. He noted that at the appropriate time, the governor will address the issues of marginalisation raised by stakeholders in OSU federal constituency. While urging members of OGM to pray fervently for the governor, the Orodje charges  them to continue to defend the governor and his policies at all times.

On his part, the national coordinator of the group Comrade Ese Sanco expressed appreciation to the Orodje of Okpe for the fatherly role he played in 2019 when the group started the agitation for OSU governor. He noted that the guidance and direction given to us by the monarch contributed immensely to the success of our agitation.

According to him " When we started the agitation for OSU governor in 2019, we came here to seek your prayers, guidance and direction which you gave to us. God has answered your prayer and we are here to thank you for your immeasurable contribution towards the emergence of your son RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as governor of Delta state. 

Our people were grossly marginalised in the social political and economic equation of Delta state. It is this high level of entrenched marginalisation that prompted those of us with like minds to come together under the aiges of OSU Governorship Movement to agitate for the governorship ticket of the PDP to be zoned to OSU federal constituency. It is our hope that the governor will address the high level of marginalisation that has made our people poor and backward in all facet of life in no distant time.

We have set up a committee to prepare a developmental master plan for OSU federal constituency. The committee is made up of OSU indigens who are technocrats in various fields within and outside this country. We have technocrats from America, UK, Europe , China, Russia and Israel who are currently preparing the OSU developmental master plan. The report will be presented to you and the governor as soon as the committee is through with their work"

Finally, His Royal Majesty offered prayers to members of OSU Governorship Movement , the governor and Okpe kingdom in general. He equally prayed that the governor should remember members of OSU Governorship Movement and empower them accordingly. He enjoined the group to visit the governor and the Ovie of Uvwie as soon as possible.
